Five dollar MPCs are usually the rarest for each series. That same rule applies here (although the $10 bill is right up there with it). Any time you are dealing with a five or ten dollar military payment certificate, whether it is from the series 472 or not, you need to lookout for counterfeits. Most will be genuine, but plenty of fakes are floating around. Send us a picture of what you have and we can quickly tell you if it is real. This series is especially easy to fake because the design is so simple. The note is really mostly just text; it reads as “for use only in united states military establishments by united states authorized personnel in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.”

Want to Sell Your MPC Currency? We can’t help you value your military payment certificates over the phone. However, if you send us pictures of what you have then we will respond back quickly with some accurate values. We are also buyers in most cases. Sales@AntiqueMoney.com
