Series of 1907 $5 Legal Tender

1907 five dollar bills with Andrew Jackson are usually called “wood choppers” by collectors. This style of $5 bill was printed as early as 1869. However, the most common variety available today is from 1907. These usually sell for around $125. Nicer examples will of course be worth more money. This is the last large size legal tender note printed by the United States. Despite saying 1907, these were actually printed until the late 1920s. Some of them aren’t quite as old as you might first assume. All 1907 $5 bills have a red seal and red serial numbers.  We have a full guide for 1907 $5 bills.
