If you are new to military payment certificates then you are probably just noticing that the ten dollar denomination is larger than the fractional notes. That extra space leaves room for some more design elements. Series 481 $10 MPCs borrowed art work from previously issued national bank notes. Each note is still complete with standard text that reads “for use only in united states military establishments by united states authorized personnel in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.” There are definitely some rare varieties for this series. Please send us pictures of what you have and we can advise further.
