Series 472 25 cent military payment certificates were used in 17 different countries during the 39 months in which they were in circulation. Needless to say, these really got around. All fractional denominations are common today. In addition to being common, all 472 MPCs aren’t especially eye-appealing. They have a very simple design. You can find text on the front and back that reads “for use only in united states military establishments by united states authorized personnel in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.” There are some rare varieties out there though.
