Salmon P Chase was issued on a couple different types of early United States ten dollar bills. The two types are interest bearing notes, as seen above, and compound interest bearing notes. Compound interest bearing notes look exactly the same except that they have an extra overprint. So early $10 bills of this type can be from 1863 or 1864.
