We generally associate five dollar military payment certificates with being great rarities. Sadly, that is not really true with series 611 $5 MPC. They were actually printed in rather conservative numbers. However, they were saved in large enough quantities that they just aren’t very rare today. They are still very attractive though. Each note has a portrait of a woman with a modern (at the time) hairstyle. The text “for use only in united states military establishments by united states authorized personnel in accordance with applicable rules and regulations” is written on the front and back of each note.
