This is the smallest denomination of the earliest type of military payment certificates. The design is rather plain. Text on the front of each note reads as “for use only in united states military establishments by united states authorized personnel in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.” These notes were used by servicemen in 18 different countries between 1946 and 1947. As you can see, a huge number were printed and they just aren’t especially rare today. There can be exceptions to that rule though. Send us pictures for details.
