All series 541 fractional military payment certificates are the same size. The ten cent denomination of course qualifies for that group. Fractional currency was used instead of coins for a couple of different reasons. It would have been extremely expensive to mint coins in the United States and then deliver them to all of the countries in which the U.S. had military bases. Secondly, and this is more theoretical, you obviously don’t want coins jangling in your pocket if you are trying to be quiet. Keep in mind that most series 541 ten cent MPCs are very common. However, if you have questions we would be happy to help.
