Series 541 fifty cent military payment certificates are the highest denomination of fractional note issued for the series. Their design is just like the lower three fractionals though. It is basically just has two images of Greek man and woman and text that reads “for use only in united states military establishments by united states authorized personnel in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.” However, if you look closely you will see a black number on the left hand side of the note. That is the position number. The position number can be anywhere from 1 to 84. Please contact us if you need help valuing your specific note.
