The $1000 silver certificate pictured above is the basic design type used for 1878 and 1880. As stated above, these are rare.
The series of 1891 $1000 silver certificate is a totally different design that the 1878 and 1880 issues; however, William L March is still pictured on both notes. The note above is exceedingly rare and valuable.
